Storylines

Storylines group related and relevant Visualizations together into a guided "data story." The narrative content walks through the Storyline sequence of data events leading to a final, focused insight. Storylines for pricing and market comparisons, for example, end with specific insights into your pricing strategy or market reach.

    Mashi Cereals won a trial run at Raley’s and had strong velocity, but was discontinued due to what Raley’s considered low sales.

    Chapter 2

    A comparison with Raley’s top 4 brands shows that Mashi had higher velocity then 3 of the top 4 competitive brands. It’s sales were low because it wasn’t given enough distribution (%ACV) to reach it’s full sales potential at Raley’s.

    Chapter 3

    A charting of all of of the top brands in four quadrants shows that Mashi’s is the true outlier. It’s presence in the blue quadrant shows higher velocity given it’s distribution than the two competitors in the yellow quadrant, which show lower sales in relation to distribution.

Visualizations

Visualizations are Bedrock's basic interface to your CPG data. Our library of Visualizations includes industry-specific analysis of everything from marketshare to pricing to distribution. Each visualization is configurable and can be set to display any market, product, fact or period instantly. Visualizations are also the primary building blocks for Bedrock Storylines.

Data Integration

Bedrock is data agnostic. We work with any and all of the syndicated data providers that CPG companies use for everyday operations. Clients create databases for each product category; once configured, a category database can be updated in minutes.

Data Archiving

With Bedrock, CPG companies can archive historical data without manual storage or upkeep. We automatically archive all your data from previous periods providing access to an unlimited amount of historical data and insight.

Security

We take data protection very seriously. Our cloud infrastructure is tightly controlled, and secured by industry-standard technology and best practices so your data is never compromised by external threats or system failures.

Access Control

Bedrock's database administration console allows administrators to grant and revoke access to each product category database, as needed. Bedrock has no access to individual client data unless specifically granted for support purposes.

Data Transfer and Backup

All data is transferred to Bedrock using industry standard SSL encryption to keep data protected and unexposed. We automatically back up client category databases; if a database fails we restore data to a point in time just before the failure.

Data Segregation

Every category database runs in isolation to protect all client databases from being leaked outside their organization. In the event of a database failure, data segregation keeps all other databases from being affected.
